History & Formation
Ayodhya-Faizabad Development Authority was created on November 2, 1985, under the Uttar Pradesh Urban Planning and Development Act, 1973. The primary objective was to ensure the planned development of the Ayodhya-Faizabad urban area.
On December 10, 2018, the authority was officially renamed to Ayodhya Development Authority (ADA). Today, it plays a pivotal role in the transformation of Ayodhya into a global spiritual and cultural destination.

To develop Ayodhya as a global spiritual center, promoting sustainable urban growth while preserving its rich cultural heritage.
